Job summary

Adani Natural Resources - Trading Business seeks a Business Excellence Lead to bridge business and technology, driving digital transformation, analytics, and AI-driven initiatives across the coal trading segment.

You will lead automation, BRD reviews, UAT, and governance, while developing dashboards and strategic reports to guide management decisions and capture growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Computer Science, IT, Mechanical, Industrial Eng or related disciplines.
• MBA in Operations, Systems, Analytics, Strategy, Marketing from reputed institute preferred.

Job description

Role Purpose:

The Business Excellence Lead will act as the strategic bridge between business stakeholders and digital & technology teams, driving the vision, execution, and adoption of digital transformation, analytics, business excellence, and AI-led initiatives across the coal trading business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage digital transformation initiatives across the coal trading business, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational priorities.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the Central IT team for planning, development, implementation, and stabilization of digital solutions.
• Drive business process automation, workflow optimization, and technology-enabled operational excellence initiatives.
• Gather business requirements and prepare, review, and finalize Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, issue resolution, closure tracking, and business sign-off.
• Lead the implementation, adoption, and continuous enhancement of IRM digital initiatives across business functions.
• Drive performance improvement and ongoing optimization of the GATI project and related digital platforms.
• Lead and support the development, deployment, and adoption of the MITRA App and other business applications.
• Oversee Deal Portal administration, including user access management, master data governance, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Identify and implement process improvement, automation, and business excellence initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
• Establish governance frameworks, project trackers, review mechanisms, and performance-monitoring processes for strategic initiatives.
• Develop and standardize SOPs, templates, best practices, and business excellence frameworks across functions.
• Design, develop, and maintain business dashboards covering sales, operations, customer performance, project status, KPIs, and market trends.
• Generate MIS reports, analytical insights, and business performance reviews to support management decision-making.
• Conduct customer analytics, market intelligence, and competitor benchmarking to identify growth opportunities and support commercial strategy.
• Prepare business intelligence reports, customer insights, and analytical summaries using internal and external data sources.
• Collaborate with Sales, Sourcing, Finance, Operations, Logistics, Compliance, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and reporting consistency.
• Develop leadership presentations, management review decks, strategic reports, customer proposals, and business update materials.
• Support business leadership through data-driven recommendations, strategic analysis, and actionable improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate marketing, branding, LinkedIn communication, customer engagement programs, conferences, industry events, and other business promotion activities to strengthen market presence and brand visibility.

Educational Qualification

Essential

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.

Preferred

• MBA in Operations, Systems, Business Analytics, Strategy, Marketing, or related disciplines from a reputed institute.
