Job summary

Adani Metals is seeking a Manager - Business Excellence (Digital & Automation) to drive digital manufacturing across the Copper Manufacturing Complex. You will lead Digital Twin Tower, Digital Tower, MES, IoT, analytics, and OT integration to enable real-time visibility and data-driven decisions.

Purpose:-

Manager - Business Excellence (Digital & Automation) will be responsible for driving excellence by leveraging digital technologies, automation, analytics across the Copper Manufacturing Complex. The role will lead implementation and integration of Digital Twin Tower, Digital Tower, MES, industrial IoT, advanced analytics, AI/ML-based operational insights, SCADA/DCS integration, real-time dashboards, and connected manufacturing platforms.

The incumbent will enable data-driven decision-making, production visibility, predictive maintenance, process optimization, quality improvement, energy efficiency, safety monitoring, and operational excellence by working closely with Operations, Maintenance, IT, Automation, Quality, Safety, and Business teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The role will be entrusted with driving the digital manufacturing roadmap, implementing integrated digital platforms, and enabling real-time visibility across production, maintenance, quality, safety, utilities, and business reporting. Key responsibilities include:

Digital Transformation Strategy:

Define and execute the plant digital transformation roadmap covering Digital Twin Tower, Digital Tower, MES, IoT, analytics, automation integration, and smart manufacturing initiatives aligned with business and operational priorities.

MES Implementation & Optimization:

Lead end-to-end MES implementation, integration, stabilization, and continuous improvement to enable production tracking, work order management, material traceability, quality capture, downtime monitoring, performance reporting, and compliance readiness.

Digital Twin Tower & Digital Tower Development:

Lead development and deployment of Digital Twin Tower and Digital Tower solutions for real-time plant visualization, process simulation, predictive analytics, exception-based monitoring, production optimization, and leadership-level operational visibility.

Integration with Plant Systems:

Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, IT, and Automation teams to integrate MES, Digital Twin Tower, SCADA, DCS, PLC, LIMS, ERP/SAP, data historian, and dashboard platforms into a connected manufacturing ecosystem.

Digital Project Management:

Manage digital transformation and automation projects including scope definition, stakeholder alignment, vendor coordination, solution design, implementation planning, risk mitigation, budget monitoring, user acceptance testing, change management, and timely delivery.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement:

Use MES, IoT, historian, and operational data to generate insights for throughput improvement, downtime reduction, yield improvement, energy optimization, maintenance reliability, process stability, quality performance, and cost efficiency.

Capability Building & Change Adoption:

Drive digital adoption across plant teams through training, user enablement, SOP development, change communication, super-user networks, and continuous handholding for effective use of MES, dashboards, and digital tools.

Data Governance, OT Security & Compliance:

Ensure data accuracy, master data discipline, system access control, audit trails, OT cybersecurity, interface reliability, backup protocols, and compliance with corporate IT/OT governance standards.

Reporting, Dashboards & Decision Support:

Establish real-time dashboards, KPI cockpits, digital command center views, exception reports, and leadership MIS to support faster decision-making across production, maintenance, quality, safety, utilities, and business performance.

Innovation & Technology Evaluation:

Continuously evaluate emerging digital manufacturing technologies including AI/ML, predictive maintenance tools, computer vision, mobility solutions, advanced process control, digital work permits, remote monitoring, and automation use cases to strengthen operational excellence.

Education Qualification and Experience-

• Engineering/technology graduate, with 10-16 years of progressive experience in business excellence, digital transformation, automation, smart manufacturing, MES implementation, plant automation, and connected operations within copper, metals, process manufacturing, or other heavy manufacturing industries.
• Handson exposure to Digital Twin Tower, Digital Tower, MES, SCADA/DCS, PLC systems, industrial IoT, data historians, advanced analytics, and real-time plant performance monitoring.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional digital initiatives involving operations, maintenance, quality, safety, IT, automation, and business stakeholders.
