Job summary

HSBC Software Development India is seeking an experienced Manager Business Analyst to lead analysis across banking change initiatives. You will own capability roadmaps, triage new demand, and embed continuous discovery practices to inform investment cases and benefits realization.

The role requires strong communication with senior stakeholders, proficiency in both Agile and Waterfall, and delivering robust business cases that connect design enablers to measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven strength in business analysis including requirements gathering and design techniques.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall environments including coaching other analysts.
• Experience delivering change in banking environments.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience developing business cases and linking design enablers to business benefits.
• Certification CBAP or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support the creation and maintenance of capability roadmaps aligned to business priorities and capacity.
• Own triage of new demand into the Value Stream and Sub Value Stream ensuring ideas are defined and prioritised.
• Embed a model of continuous discovery using learnings to improve analysis across initiatives.
• Provide end-to-end analysis to support product vision, proposition discovery and capability investment cases.
• Oversee KPI/OKR definition and track and interpret benefits across the Value Stream and Sub Value Stream.
• Shape and embed analysis strategy, standards and templates creating reusable patterns for core journeys.
• Manage relationships with senior stakeholders and delivery partners to influence decisions throughout the change cycle.
• Govern delivery risk by aligning approaches to bank policies and the Group Controls Framework.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bring proven strength in business analysis including requirements gathering and design techniques
• Apply expertise across Agile methodologies and Waterfall environments including coaching other analysts
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of the change lifecycle and delivering change in banking environments
• Interpret market trends, regulatory impacts and technological developments to identify gaps and opportunities
• Communicate complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders and sponsors across business and delivery partners
• Partner effectively across functions such as HR, Legal, Compliance, Fraud and BRCM to support change outcomes
• Evidence experience developing business cases and connecting design enablers to business benefits
• Hold CBAP, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification or bring equivalent demonstrable experience
