Job summary

Pidilite Industries Limited is seeking a Building Energy Modelling Analyst to lead energy simulations and performance assessments for diverse projects. Qualifications

• BE / B.Tech / B.Arch or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in building energy modelling and building performance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with energy simulation tools such as DesignBuilder, IES-VE, eQUEST, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, Rhino, Honeybee/Ladybug or similar and AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, ECBC, LEED, IGBC and GRIHA requirements.
• Experience in sensitivity analysis and parametric studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform energy simulations in compliance with ASHRAE, ECBC and Green Building Rating Systems.
• Develop energy models for various buildings using DesignBuilder, IES-VE, eQUEST, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio and similar tools.
• Analyze building performance data and provide energy efficiency recommendations.
• Evaluate HVAC, façade, lighting and envelope options to improve energy performance.
• Prepare technical reports for internal teams and clients and support certification documentation.

Job description

The position focuses on building energy modelling, building performance analysis, and Net Zero / Green Building certification support. The analyst will develop energy simulation models, evaluate building performance, and assess the impact of Pidilite solutions on energy efficiency and sustainability outcomes. The role will support customer projects and internal energy improvement initiatives through technical analysis, energy studies, and performance-based recommendations.

• Perform energy simulations in compliance with ASHRAE, ECSBC and Green Building Rating Systems such as LEED, GRIHA and IGBC.
• Develop energy models for commercial, industrial and residential buildings using Grashopper, Rhino, DesignBuilder, IES-VE, eQUEST, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio and similar software.
• Analyze building performance data and provide energy efficiency recommendations.
• Evaluate various options of HVAC systems, glass and other façade systems, lighting systems and building envelope performance.
• Support energy modelling requirements and technical documentation for LEED, GRIHA, IGBC and other Green Building certification programs.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis and parametric studies to evaluate the impact of Pidilite products and building design parameters on energy performance.
• Analyze building energy performance and prepare technical reports and presentations for internal teams and clients.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in energy modelling techniques, software and industry standards.
• Perform other duties in line with the job profile and as directed by the Head Green Buildings.

Qualifications & Experience

• BE / B.Tech / B.Arch or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in building energy modelling and building performance analysis.
• Demonstrated Hands-on experience with one or more energy simulation tools such as DesignBuilder, IES-VE, eQUEST, EnergyPlus, OpenStudio, Rhino, Honeybee/Ladybug or similar platforms and AutoCAD.
• Good knowledge of ASHRAE 90.1, ECBC, LEED, IGBC and GRIHA requirements.
• Experience in conducting sensitivity analysis and parametric studies.
• Experience in preparing energy models and supporting Net Zero / Green Building certification projects.
• Ability to interpret simulation results and provide practical energy efficiency recommendations.
• Experience working with Architects, MEP Consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Working Proficiency in MS office & MS Excel and other data analysis and reporting tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver assignments within timelines.
• Experience in architectural design, HVAC design, plumbing design, energy auditing or commissioning will be an added advantage.
