Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct energy simulations in line with ASHRAE, ECBC, LEED, GRIHA, IGBC, and other green building requirements.
• Create energy models for commercial, industrial, and residential projects using Design Builder, IES-VE, or eQUEST.
• Analyse building performance and recommend practical energy efficiency improvements.
• Support project teams in developing sustainable and energy-efficient building designs.
• Perform sensitivity analysis to understand how design choices impact energy performance.
• Assess and document HVAC systems, lighting performance, and building envelope characteristics.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and sustainability consultants to reduce energy consumption.
• Assist with energy model documentation and submissions for green building certifications.
• Keep track of emerging tools, standards, and best practices in energy modelling.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 6–10 years of experience in energy simulation, building performance analysis, and energy efficiency consulting.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Design Builder, IES-VE, eQUEST, or similar energy modelling tools.
• Green building credentials such as LEED AP, WELL AP, IGBC AP, GRIHA CP, or BEE Energy Auditor certification are preferred.
• In-depth understanding of ASHRAE 90.1, LEED energy modelling requirements, IGBC, and GRIHA rating systems.
• Good knowledge of MEP systems, HVAC design, and building envelope optimization.
• Ability to interpret simulation outputs and convert them into actionable recommendations.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work both independently and with multidisciplinary project teams.
