Educational Qualification
- Graduation/Post Graduation (With Specialization): Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Agriculture Engineering, Energy, Sustainability, or related discipline.
- Or
- Master's Degree in Management, Sustainability, Environment, Energy, Climate Change, Public Policy, Rural Development, or related field.
Any Other (Certification / Diploma etc.)
- REQUIRED: Climate Finance, Carbon Markets or Carbon Projects
- OPTIONAL: Sustainability / CSR / ESG Capacity building, Community Development or Rural Livelihood International development or donor-funded projects
Work Experience (Years)
Minimum 3 years and Maximum 5 years
a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in carbon credit projects, carbon accounting, carbon markets, or climate finance.
Role Overview
- Will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring SRDI's biogas projects in collaboration with partner organizations.
- The role will focus on project management, stakeholder coordination, carbon credit development and climate finance, and implementation of community capacity building initiatives.
- The incumbent will work closely with dairy cooperatives, consultants, certification agencies, academic institutions, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and long‑term sustainability of the biogas ecosystem.

- Exposure to biogas or waste‑to‑energy projects is desirable but not mandatory
Biogas Plants Project Management
- Coordinate construction and implementation of multi‑stakeholder biogas projects from planning through commissioning and operational readiness.
- Track project timeline, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across partner organizations.
- Coordinate with dairy cooperatives, contractors, vendors, consultants, and knowledge partners to facilitate timely project execution.
Carbon Credits
- Coordinate development and implementation of carbon credit projects under international carbon mechanisms (e.g., Gold Standard, JCM, Verra etc.)
- Coordinate preparation of carbon accounting methodologies, Project Design Documents (PDDs), monitoring reports, validation and verification processes.
- Liaise with carbon consultants, validation and verification bodies (VVBs), certification agencies, and government authorities.
- Support carbon credit registration, issuance, monitoring, and commercialization activities.
- Monitor developments in global carbon markets and climate finance mechanisms.
Capacity Building and Community Development
- Coordinate design and implementation of capacity building programmes for farmers, dairy cooperatives, plant operators, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate with academic institutions, technical agencies, and subject matter experts for development of training curricula, gender inclusive approaches and learning materials.
- Monitor implementation and effectiveness of training programmes and community engagement activities.
