Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai seeks an experienced ECM professional to lead syndication, coverage, and placements. You will identify institutional investors, coordinate with issuers and lead managers, and drive investor outreach and feedback through all deal stages.

Ideal candidates have 7–9 years in investment banking with a strong track record in IPOs, QIPs, and related equity offerings, and proven relationships across large corporates and financial markets.

Qualifications

• Experience in ECM transactions including IPOs, QIPs, buybacks, FPOs, rights issues, open offers and FCCB/GDR/ADR will be advantageous.
• Strong client relationship skills with large corporates and financial services providers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and target institutional investors, both domestic and international, alongside the sales and investment banking teams.
• Maintain databases of investor preferences, allocations and feedback.
• Participate in investor picks meetings and select investors with the sales team.
• Coordinate meetings and slots between issuer, investors and other lead managers.
• Build investor relationships through interaction and deal marketing.
• Track market sentiment, deal flow, recent ECM transactions and investor behaviour.
• Gauge investor appetite pre-deal and manage demand during the offering.
• Monitor demand, pricing and feedback through execution; provide competitive analysis on pricing, structure and timing.
• Manage book-building and allocation.
• Coordinate with execution, legal, compliance, sales and research teams.
• Prepare deal memos, allocation reports and post-deal analysis.
• Ensure smooth execution of IPOs, FPOs, QIPs and block trades and feed investor preferences back to origination.
