Qualifikationen

A Category I Merchant Banker is hiring for its ECM syndication desk, with a core focus on syndication, coverage and placements.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and target institutional investors, both domestic and international, alongside the sales and investment banking teams
• Maintain databases of investor preferences, allocations and feedback
• Participate in investor picks meetings and select investors with the sales team
• Coordinate meetings and slots between issuer, investors and other lead managers
• Build investor relationships through interaction and deal marketing
• Track market sentiment, deal flow, recent ECM transactions and investor behaviour
• Gauge investor appetite pre-deal and manage demand during the offering
• Monitor demand, pricing and feedback through execution; provide competitive analysis on pricing, structure and timing
• Manage book-building and allocation
• Coordinate with execution, legal, compliance, sales and research teams
• Prepare deal memos, allocation reports and post-deal analysis
• Ensure smooth execution of IPOs, FPOs, QIPs and block trades and feed investor preferences back to origination

Candidate profile: 7-9 years in investment banking, specifically ECM, covering IPO, QIP, buyback, FPO, rights issue, open offer, FCCB and GDR / ADR. Proven syndication track record with strong relationships across large corporates and financial services markets.
