Job summary

Sun Pharma in Vadodara is seeking an experienced IP leader to manage the branded and NCE portfolios from an IP perspective. You will oversee lifecycle management, perform freedom-to-operate analyses, and review agreements such as CDA, MSA, and MTA to protect competitive advantage.

Travel and cross-geo collaboration with attorneys across geographies is expected; you will identify opportunities for APIs and formulations and ensure robust IP due diligence for licensing opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. Pharmacy or PharmD with regulatory IP exposure preferred.
• Experience with patent landscape, freedom-to-operate, and IP diligence would be ideal.
• Strong understanding of patent procurement and prosecution processes.

Responsibilities

• Life cycle management of NCE portfolio from IP perspective including competition tracking.
• Ensuring FTO of in-house NCEs.
• Supervising search and analysis in NCEs and related competition.
• Agreement review including CDA, IITs, MSA, MTA etc.
• Performing validity analysis of blocking patents.
• Life cycle management of branded portfolio from IP perspective including competition tracking.
• IP support for out-licensing projects.
• Freedom to operate for in-house branded portfolio.
• Opportunity identification for APIs and formulations.
• Performing validity analysis of blocking patents.
