Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Pharmaceutical Product Manager to drive brand performance through strategic planning, execution of marketing deliverables, and robust sales support to grow market share.

The role focuses on market intelligence, KOL engagement, and brand planning with cross-functional collaboration to deliver marketing campaigns and training for the sales force. Experience in pharma is essential and MBA is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a Product Management Team.
  • Exclusive pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Strong skills in market research, pricing, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Budgeting: Develop market intelligence by studying trends, analyzing agency reports, and collating feedback from sales teams.
  • Market Insight: Meet with KOLs and attend industry seminars to stay updated on market changes and competitor strategies.
  • Brand Planning: Prepare annual brand plans, including STP strategies aligned with market realities.
  • Execution: Design marketing deliverables such as brand communications, advertisements, promotions, and brand reminders.
  • Sales Enablement: Design incentive plans, deliver training modules at cycle meetings, and conduct strategic briefing sessions for the sales force.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor on-ground execution and present monthly updates to marketing heads regarding budget variations and brand activity.
  • Relationship Management: Handle customer queries/complaints and manage educational programs for chemists, pharmacists, and paramedics.
  • Vendor Management: Identify new vendors, support registration, follow up on material delivery, and approve payment disbursals.

Job description

Role Objective: To manage pharmaceutical brand performance through strategic planning, execution of marketing deliverables, and providing robust sales support to drive market share and brand growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning and Budgeting: Develop market intelligence by studying trends, analyzing agency reports, and collating feedback from sales teams.

Market Insight: Meet with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and attend industry seminars to stay updated on market changes and competitor strategies.

Brand Planning: Prepare annual brand plans, including STP (Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning) strategies aligned with market realities.

Execution: Ideate and design marketing deliverables such as brand communications, advertisements, promotions, and brand reminders.

Sales Enablement: Design incentive plans, deliver training modules at cycle meetings, and conduct strategic briefing sessions for the sales force.

Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor on-ground execution and present monthly updates to marketing heads regarding budget variations and brand activity.

Relationship Management: Handle customer queries/complaints and manage the delivery of educational programs for chemists, pharmacists, and paramedics.

Vendor Management: Identify new vendors, support registration, follow up on material delivery, and approve payment disbursals.

STAKEHOLDER INTERACTION

Type of Interaction: Internal

Interaction with: Sales teams, Regional/District Heads, Marketing Heads, Training team, and Corporate Quality Assurance (CQA).

Nature of Interaction: Collating feedback, presenting execution updates, coordinating campaign execution, delivering training, and resolving customer complaints.

Type of Interaction: External

Interaction with: Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), Industry Peers, and Vendors.

Nature of Interaction: Keeping abreast of market changes, networking at seminars, and negotiating/contracting with vendors for marketing materials.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Professional Experience and Relevant Skills

Experience: 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager within a Product Management Team.

Experience Context: Exclusively Pharmaceutical industry experience.

Skills: Market research, competitor analysis, pricing recommendations, and process efficiency improvement.

Academic Qualifications & Certifications

Educational Qualification: Minimum Science Graduate.

Mandatory Qualification: Management Graduate (MBA)
