Job summary

ABB Traction Division in Vadodara, India seeks a Maintenance Engineer to lead upkeep of equipment and facilities, ensuring reliability and safety. You will define maintenance plans, address major technical issues, and drive improvement projects to cut downtime and energy use.

Reporting to Operations Manager, the role focuses on on-site maintenance for production lines and facilities with collaboration across vendors and stakeholders while upholding ABB values and ethics.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in motor industry.
• Full time engineering in Mechanical or Electrical field.
• Knowledge of maintenance aspects of MTTR, MTBF, equipment availability and reliability.
• Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
• Coordination with Vendors, various stakeholders'.
• Identification and management of critical spares for plant equipment's.

Responsibilities

• Defining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.
• Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
• Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
• Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all equipment, production lines, and/or facilities, resulting in the optimization of technical and financial resources. Each day, you will oversee execution of ordinary and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities. You will also showcase your expertise by managing and updating technical documentation of equipment, production lines, and/or facilities.

This role is contributing to the Motion business for Traction division based at Vadodara, India:
