Job summary

ITC Limited Foods Business Division (24 Mantra Organic) is seeking an experienced Manager Maintenance, Projects & Engineering to oversee plant maintenance operations and equipment reliability.

You will lead preventive and predictive maintenance, manage breakdowns, drive TPM/OEE initiatives, and execute engineering projects from installation to commissioning, while ensuring EHS and GMP compliance across facilities.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering mandatory.
• 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in plant maintenance and manufacturing operations.
• Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Experience in FMCG/food processing preferred.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, RCA, TPM and OEE.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant maintenance operations ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, packaging lines, conveyors, motors and gearboxes.
• Drive RCA, TPM, and OEE initiatives to improve performance.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts, and engineering resources.
• Supervise maintenance technicians, engineers, and external contractors.
• Ensure maintenance documentation, equipment history and breakdown reporting.
• Execute engineering projects from installation to commissioning and upgrades.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for project execution and procurement.
• Monitor timelines and costs; ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, HACCP, ISO.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager Maintenance, Projects & Engineering to oversee plant maintenance operations, equipment reliability, and engineering activities at our manufacturing facility.

The role will primarily focus on preventive and predictive maintenance, breakdown management, troubleshooting, and minimizing equipment downtime. Additionally, the position will involve handling engineering projects, machinery installation and commissioning, plant improvements, and electrical maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability and minimum production downtime.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities for production machinery and plant utilities.
• Handle troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment, processing machinery, packaging lines, conveyors, pumps, motors, compressors, and gearboxes.
• Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), TPM, and OEE initiatives to improve equipment performance and reduce recurring breakdowns.
• Manage maintenance schedules, critical spare parts, maintenance budgets, and engineering resources.
• Supervise maintenance technicians, engineers, and external service contractors.
• Ensure proper maintenance documentation, equipment history, and breakdown reporting.
• Execute engineering projects related to plant expansion, machinery installation, commissioning, upgrades, and infrastructure development.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for project execution, procurement, and technical support.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Oversee electrical maintenance activities related to motors, control panels, power distribution, and plant utilities.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO, and applicable statutory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Mandatory.
• 8 to 12 years Relevant experience in plant maintenance, engineering, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, breakdown handling, and equipment reliability.
• Experience in FMCG, food processing, beverages, dairy, personal care, or consumer goods manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, RCA, TPM, OEE, and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to processing machinery, packaging equipment, plant utilities, and electrical systems.
• Experience in project execution, machinery installation, commissioning, vendor management, and cost control.
• Basic knowledge of electrical maintenance, motors, panels, and industrial utilities.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and SAP.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in managing maintenance operations in continuous or 24x7 manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to plant expansion, brownfield projects, and new machinery installations.
• Familiarity with food processing and packaging equipment.
