Job summary

Bharat Seats (BSL) in India seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to head preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for production lines and plant utilities. The role focuses on maximizing uptime, improving OEE, and leading TPM-driven improvements.

You will plan shutdowns, manage budgets and spares, and ensure safety and compliance across electrical systems and equipment. Strong RCA, 5 Why, and Fishbone skills are essential for root-cause resolution.

• Plan and execute preventive/predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Lead TPM initiatives and autonomous maintenance culture across the plant.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies.
• Maximize machine uptime and improve OEE.
• Lead maintenance for production equipment, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
• Maintain robotic welding lines, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyors, presses, CNC machines, and assembly equipment.
• Plan and execute annual shutdowns with minimal production loss.
• Drive TPM initiatives and autonomous maintenance culture.
• Monitor machine health using predictive tools and RCA.
• Lead breakdown analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA methodologies.
• Ensure electrical safety, DG sets, and safety compliance.
• Manage utilities including HVAC, transformers, DG sets, and air distribution.
• Prepare and control maintenance budgets, spare parts, and AMC contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1. Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies.
• 2. Ensure maximum machine uptime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• 3. Lead maintenance activities for production equipment, utilities, and plant infrastructure.
• 4. Manage maintenance of robotic welding lines, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, conveyors, presses, CNC machines, and assembly equipment.
• 5. Plan and execute annual shutdown maintenance with minimum production loss.
• 6. Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives and autonomous maintenance culture.
• 7. Monitor machine health through predictive maintenance tools and root cause analysis (RCA).
• 8. Lead breakdown analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, and CAPA methodologies.
• 9. Ensure statutory compliance related to electrical systems, pressure vessels, DG sets, compressors, and safety requirements.
• 10. Manage utility systems including compressors, chillers, HVAC, transformers, DG sets, and air distribution systems.
• 11. Prepare and control maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and AMC contracts.
