Job summary

Kumar Elastomech Pvt. Ltd. in Pune region seeks a seasoned Maintenance Head to lead the maintenance department for plastic injection molding operations. You will plan preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of molding machines and utilities to maximize uptime and OEE.

We expect 8–12 years in similar industries, with hands-on machine experience and strong TPM, RCA, CAPA, Kaizen, and Lean knowledge. Leadership and coordination skills are essential for success at Chakan MIDC.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of maintenance experience in Plastic Injection Molding/Automotive components.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and utility maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Good leadership, planning, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of TPM, Preventive Maintenance, RCA, CAPA, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Excellent communication, team management and coordination skills.
• Willing to work at Chakan MIDC, Pune

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maintenance Department for plastic injection molding operations.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Ensure maximum machine uptime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Maintain utilities including air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, DG sets, transformers, electrical panels, and water systems.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules and monitor timely execution.
• Analyse machine breakdowns using RCA and implement CAPA.
• Control maintenance costs, spare parts inventory, and annual maintenance budgets.
• Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Quality, and Stores to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TPM, 5S, and safety standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Manage vendor development, AMC contracts, and maintenance documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• 812 years of experience in maintenance,
• Mandatory experience in the Plastic Injection Molding/Automotive Components industry.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, PLC, and utility maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Good leadership, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of TPM, Preventive Maintenance, RCA, CAPA, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Excellent communication, team management, and coordination skills.
