Job summary

ZEISS India is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to oversee operation and maintenance of production and utility equipment at its Bengaluru facilities. You will diagnose faults, lead repair efforts, and update maintenance documentation to restore efficiency rapidly.

The role requires 8–10 years in maintenance, proficiency with MS Office, and knowledge of ISO/OHSAS standards. Experience with lean concepts and working with cross-functional teams is preferred.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on maintenance experience in operation and maintenance of utilities and production equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and presentation.
• Experience with ISO & OHSAS standards and audits.
• Exposure to government agencies/local authorities.
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma concepts is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Production and Utility Equipment (DG synchronizing panels, transformers, electrical installations, HVAC, STP/ETP/WTP).
• Diagnose faults, lead repair efforts to minimize downtime, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Update maintenance documentation and ensure safety compliance.
• Read drawings/SLDs and interpret circuit diagrams; troubleshoot PLCs.
• Develop maintenance policies, monitor plans, and report KPI like MTTR/MTBF.
