Job summary

ADM Agro Industries India Pvt Ltd. is seeking an Engineer - Maintenance to oversee safety-aligned maintenance activities in a fast-paced edible oil/ FMCG manufacturing setting.

You will manage CMMS workflows, lead a mixed team, and ensure compliance with safety standards while optimizing equipment reliability. The role requires 2–3 years of mechanical maintenance experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• 2–3 years' experience in Mechanical Maintenance
• Experience in edible oil / FMCG / Process / Manufacturing industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance with plant safety standards and PPE
• Create, plan, schedule, execute and close maintenance work orders in the CMMS
• Maintain logs, SOPs, inspection reports and checklists per ADM standards
• Lead and develop the maintenance team and improve first-time fix rates
• Identify and rectify equipment obstructions/breakdowns through troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Support production with routine maintenance and process issue resolution
• Assist in commissioning new equipment and facilities

Engineer - Maintenance Job Description

Your Responsibilities

Ensuring personal safety and must have strong knowledge of safety permit systems. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with plant safety standards and PPE requirements Will be responsible for maintenance work order creation, planning & scheduling, execution and closing in CMMS systems. Maintain maintenance logs, SOPs, inspection reports, and checklists as per ADM standards. Effective utilization of work force; directing, leading, and motivating workforce by developing skills Handling of all maintenance related activities independently, solving all operational and reliability issues. Identifying areas of Obstruction/Breakdowns in routine checkup and taking steps to rectify the equipment’s through application of troubleshooting tools. (root cause analysis,etc) Support production team in performing routine maintenance activities and assisting in solving process issues. Strong knowledge of: Rotating equipment maintenance, Bearings, seals, lubrication systems. Handling of manpower as per maintenance works. To assist projects in commission new equipment’s, machines & utilities. Ensuring safety in all equipment as well as in all maintenance related jobs. Leading a team of skilled as well as unskilled workforce, ensuring high motivation levels on the floor. Having an experience in CMMS/SAP (Maintenance Module). Develop, supervise, and provide coaching to direct reports including coaching company core values and guiding principles for assigned facilities or region. Cost-Consciousness measures to achieve substantial reduction in terms of man-hours, maintenance cost, and energy consumption. Post maintenance documentation & Incorporation of MOC Having knowledge of PMs, Pdm, QPM, and reduced the percentage of unplanned breakdowns. Strong knowledge of safety procedures, LOTO, PPE, and work permits

Your Profile

B. E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Overall, 2-3 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance. Experience of working in Edible oil/ FMCG /Process/ Manufacturing industry (preferred) Thorough knowledge of Mechanical Maintenance procedures and standards. Good communication and documentation skills. Capable of working independently as well as in a team-oriented environment. Time management and task prioritization Must be flexible to work in shifts or respond to emergency maintenance requirements.
