Job summary

DRISHTI LIFESAVING is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the assembly, repair and upkeep of our electric vehicles and lifesaving equipment used on beaches and marine infrastructure. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and hands-on fabrication.

You will work on EV components such as battery packs, motors and chassis, perform basic quality checks and help keep workshop tools clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ITI certification in Mechanical, Automobile or Marine Engineering.
• Basic understanding of mechanical assembly, electrical systems and maintenance processes.
• Familiar with tools, fixtures and equipment used in automotive and EV assembly and repair.
• Skilled in cutting, painting, welding and fabrication.
• Exposure to CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is an advantage, but not essential.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, a hands-on attitude and attention to safety standards.
• Physically fit and willing to work in demanding beach and marine environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the mechanical assembly of EV components — battery packs, motors, chassis — and support smooth assembly line operations.
• Carry out basic quality checks so assembled parts meet engineering and safety standards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on beach EVs, jeeps, jet skis, boats and marine infrastructure.
• Assist with corrective maintenance and repairs under supervision to restore equipment to service.
• Carry out cutting, painting, welding and fabrication work as repairs require.
• Assist in the modification and refurbishment of EVs, towers and marine infrastructure.
• Identify and report mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, and support senior technicians in correcting them.
• Keep vehicles, equipment and workshop tools clean, safe and in good working order.
