Job summary

4sight is seeking a hands-on Mainframe Modernization Specialist to analyze RPG applications, convert them to COBOL, and validate that the migrated code preserves business logic and data integrity.

You will perform unit, functional, integration, and regression testing, execute JCL/CICS validation, support workload migration to Google Cloud Platform, and document conversion activities for auditability and future maintenance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on COBOL programming experience.
• Practical RPG applications and RPG code analysis.
• Good working knowledge of JCL and CICS.
• Strong understanding of IBM Mainframe architecture and batch-processing concepts.
• Experience in legacy application development, maintenance, and modernization.
• Knowledge of application debugging, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in mainframe data analysis, data validation, and remediation.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and mainframe-to-cloud migration.
• Prior experience in mainframe replatforming, legacy modernization, or enterprise migration projects.

Responsibilities
