Responsibilities

• Mainframe Assessment & Discovery: analyze legacy COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM and DB2 applications and map dependencies.
• Modernization & Transformation: participate in COBOL-to-Java modernization, refactoring, and cloud migration efforts.

Responsibilities

Mainframe Assessment & Discovery

• Perform application inventory, dependency mapping, and impact analysis.
• Extract and document business rules embedded in legacy systems.
• Support reverse engineering and application discovery activities.

Modernization & Transformation

• Participate in COBOL-to-Java modernization initiatives.
• Support refactoring, re-platforming, and cloud migration activities.
• Transform batch workloads, online transactions, and integration components.
• Assist in API enablement and microservices development.

Cloud Migration

• Support migration of applications to AWS/Azure cloud platforms.
• Assist with containerization, CI/CD implementation, and DevOps automation.
• Participate in cloud architecture reviews and modernization roadmaps.
