Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 10+ Years of experience with IBM i (AS400) environments, with a focus on DB2 administration and performance management.
• Proven expertise in database indexing, query optimization, and system performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with IBM iDoctor tools, including Job Watcher, Plan Cache, and Collection Services.
• Deep understanding of DB2 for i architecture, data structures, and performance diagnostics.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to analyze and optimize complex queries.
• Experience in troubleshooting database and system performance issues.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Experience with capacity planning and workload management in IBM i environments.
• Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery solutions for DB2 on IBM i.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for database administration tasks.
• Experience working in large enterprise or managed services environments (BFSI preferred).
• Exposure to integration with application middleware or legacy systems.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and performance monitoring frameworks.
