Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru invites experienced Mainframe DB2 System Programmer to join our z/OS environment. You will shape database systems, ensure availability, and support disaster recovery planning.

The role requires 6 to 15 years of hands-on DB2 on z/OS, upgrades, SMP/E maintenance, and strong knowledge of DB2 utilities and stored procedures. You will work with global teams to deliver scalable, high-availability solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–15 years of DB2 on mainframe experience
• Strong DB2 utilities knowledge (UNLOAD/LOAD/REORG/RUNSTATS)
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution

Responsibilities

• Create and manage IBM Db2 databases.
• Experience in DB2 upgrades, Installation, RSU maintenance using SMP/E of DB2 ZOS products.
• Good knowledge of Disaster recovery practices planning and execution.
• Thorough knowledge of DB2 utilities such as UNLOAD, LOAD, REORG, IMAGECOPY, DSN1COPY, RUNSTATS
• Strong experience with stored procedures.
