Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Mainframe CICS System Programmer to join our technology teams. The role requires 6–15 years of hands-on experience with defining CICS Resource Entry, batch and online processing, and strong knowledge of CICSPlex, CICS web services, and upgrades.

You will work with tools like TMON/CICS, Omegamon XE, Abend AID, and Fault Analyser to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring high availability.

Qualifications

• Experience with CICS Resource Entry definitions for batch and online processing.
• Knowledge of CICS utilities to maintain the environment (CEMT/CEDA/CEDB).
• Familiarity with CICSPlex, CICS web services, and upgrades.
• Disaster recovery planning, testing, and inter-region communication.
• Hands-on use of CICS diagnostic tools for problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Define CICS Resource Entry to CICS region by batch and online processing.
• Usage of CEMT, CEDA, CEDB etc. transactions with various options and applying maintenance to the CICS environment.
• Good knowledge on CICSPlex and CICS web services and CICS version and product upgrades.
• Disaster recovery test and planning and execution experience and knowledge on establishing inter region communication.
• Effectively used tools TMON/CICS. Omegamon XE for CICS. Abend AID for CICS, Fault Analyser for problem determination and debugging.
