Job summary

Safran in Hyderabad seeks a senior engineer to lead the installation and commissioning of high-precision 4-axis and 5-axis CNC machines at customer production plants. You will oversee end-to-end setup, alignment, and initial testing to ensure SAT readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and more than 8 years of relevant experience, with strong AutoCAD proficiency and knowledge of Siemens/Fanuc controls. On-site assignment at Aviation SEZ, Shamshabad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• More than 8 years of experience in machine tool installation and commissioning.
• English (Intermediate) language proficiency preferred.

Job description

1. AutoCAD Drawing knowledge

4. Must have HMC machines Green filed and brown filed experience
5. Lead the end-to-end installation and mechanical assembly of high-precision 4-axis and 5-axis HMCs and CNC machines at customer production plants.
6. Execute precise foundation anchoring, machine bed leveling using high-sensitivity electronic levels, and verify geometric parameters (spindle coaxiality, perpendicularity, and parallelism).
7. Power up and commission Siemens and Fanuc CNC systems, performing initial PLC sign-of-life checks, axis reference point setting, and limit switch configurations.
8. Integrate and test automated peripheral hardware, including ATC arm alignments, APC orientation, through-spindle coolant (TSC) lines, and centralized lubrication systems.
9. Troubleshoot complex start-up errors involving servo drives, feedback encoders, and safety relay circuits during initial trial runs.
10. Conduct Final Geometric and Cutting Trials (e.g., NAS testing, Circle-Diamond-Square cutting) alongside client quality heads to secure formal Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) sign-offs.
