Job summary

Switchgear and Control Technics Private Limited seeks a Testing Engineer to join our team. You will test and validate electrical panels used in switchgear and control systems to ensure safety, reliability, and performance under operating conditions.

You will develop test plans, perform inspections, document findings, and generate reports while collaborating with engineering and production to resolve issues and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 1 year of experience in electrical engineering or related fields; fresh grads with relevant projects considered.
• Knowledge of SAP and electrical safety standards (IEC, IS) required.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing of switchgear and control panels, including electrical, functional, and environmental tests.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols based on technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform in-depth inspections of panel assemblies, components, and wiring for quality and compliance.
• Identify defects or performance issues and collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Ensure all testing activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards (IEC, UL).
• Provide accurate test reports with detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.
• Support validation of design changes or new product developments.
• Assist QA in implementing corrective actions for product deficiencies.

Job Summary: Switchgear and Control Techniques Pvt Ltd is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating electrical panels used in switchgear and control systems to ensure they meet both internal and industry standards. Your expertise will help ensure that all products are safe, reliable, and perform optimally under operational conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive testing of switchgear and control panels, including electrical, functional, and environmental tests.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols based on technical specifications and customer requirements.
• Perform in-depth inspections of panel assemblies, components, and wiring to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Identify any defects or performance issues, document findings, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Ensure that all testing activities are conducted in line with safety regulations and industry standards (such as IEC, UL, etc.).
• Utilize a variety of testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, insulation resistance testers, high voltage testers) to evaluate electrical characteristics and performance.
• Provide accurate and timely test reports, including detailed analysis and recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in the validation and verification of design changes or new product developments.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to support the implementation of corrective actions for any identified product deficiencies.
• Ensure that all test results and procedures are thoroughly documented and accessible for internal reviews or audits.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies and processes to enhance product reliability, efficiency, and compliance.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to production and engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• 1year of experience in electrical engineering or related fields. Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects or internships will also be considered.
• Basic understanding of switchgear system, electrical circuits, and control technologies.
• Familiarity with electrical design will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and guidelines (IEC, IS, etc.).
• Abilityto handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Good verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
