Job summary

Montra Electric is seeking an expert to architect and design Control systems for LV Body/Chassis components across 3W, Tractor, SCV, and HCV EV platforms. You will lead architecture, drive cross-functional discussions, and shape interfaces for BCMs, battery controllers, lighting, AVAS, sensors, and motors.

The role requires deep EV LV knowledge and experience with DFMEA, CAE, and system-level design. You will be a focal point for changes, contribute to technical papers, and guide

Qualifications

• Experience in architecting LV control systems for body/chassis components in EVs.
• Strong ability to design scalable, secure, cost-aware control architectures.
• Proficiency in DFMEA and translating requirements into design docs.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute the Control Architecture for LV EE Body/Chassis components.
• Identify trends in ICE and EV LV components architecture for 4 vehicle platforms.
• Lead development of LV electrical & electronics components architecture ( BCM, battery controller, lighting, AVAS, switches, sensors, motors).
• Drive function architecture discussions with cross-functional teams (Electrical, Controllers, Battery, Styling, Embedded, Software, Hardware, Mechanical).
• Understand platform requirements and prepare function maps.
• Define, commonise and optimise control architecture for interfacing with LV-EE components across Body, Chassis, Trims.
• Translate design discussions into design documents, control descriptions, and performance requirements.
• Prepare SOR and analyse DFMEA to guide DVP & engineering conversions.
• Lead new technology discussions and adoption into control architecture.
• Be focal point for change requests and assess impact on vehicle architecture/design.
• Discuss System function entry/exit criteria and relate to System, Sub-system, Module, and component levels.
• Demonstrate understanding of System degradation strategies and arbitration/priority in EV domain.
• Plan soft-tools and resources to meet deliverables.
• Prepare and present technical papers.
• Foster a productive team atmosphere and be comfortable with change and customer orientation.

Role & responsibilities

Expertise in architecting & designing Control systems for EE LV Body/Chassis mounted Components for 3W, Tractor, SCV, HCV models

• Create and Execute the Control Architecture for EE LV – Body/Chassis mounted Components


• 1) Identify the trends in ICE, Electric Vehicle EE LV Components architecture and design the Control functions to meet the above 4 vehicle platforms/models requirements including scalability, flexibility, security, cost, quality and timelines.


• 2) Lead the development of LV-electrical & electronics Components such as BCM/Aux. battery controller, Lighting controller/ Flashers, AVAS, Switches, sensors, motors etc.. architecture for the above 4 electric vehicle platforms/models


• 3) Drive LV-EE Components function architecture design discussions with cross-functional teams including electrical, Controllers, Battery, Styling, embedded, software, hardware, mechanical, Testing(CAE,VI, Chassis, Cabin, Brakes, Suspension, etc..) thermal design, marketing, Quality, Servicing & Supplier teams.


• 4) Understand the Vehicle Platform requirements and prepare the function maps.


• 5) Define, commonise and optimize the control architecture to interface with various LV-EE components related to Body, Chassis, Trims etc.


• 6) Define the controls architecture and design discussions into design documents, control descirption documents, function requirements and performance requirements


• 7) Prepare SOR, Analyse the DFMEA (System, sub system, components)to make it actionable for DVP & engineering Conversions


• 8) Lead any new technology discussions and adopt the same into control architecture


• 10) Be the focal point for any change requirements and assess the impact on the vehicle architecture/design/performance/etc


• 11) Has potential for in depth technical discussions on \"Entry, Exit\" Criteria's of System Functions and can relate with its relation at both System , (sub system)Module level, component level


• 12) Has in-depth understanding of System degradation strategies, relevant arbitration & priority selection strategies as applicable to EV domain.


• 13) Planning of soft-tools and resources to meet the deliveries.


• 14) Preparation and presentation of technical papers.
