Job summary

Mahindra & Mahindra Limited, Bengaluru, seeks an experienced system architect to lead EV powertrain design and translate stakeholder needs into robust vehicle-level architectures. You will drive cross-functional discussions with software and hardware teams to ensure cohesive system integration.

The role demands hands-on modeling with SysML/diagrams, expertise in CAN/LIN/Ethernet, and fluency with diagnostics tools. You will own change impact analyses for the EV platform.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Architecting and designing system functions for Electric Vehicle Powertrains.
• Identify, analyse and synthesize stakeholder needs, Vehicle Requirements (VRS), service and homologation requirements.
• Design the system architecture of vehicle-level functions and interfaces to software and hardware.
• Lead system architecture discussions with EV module teams including embedded software and hardware.
• Create block diagrams, flow charts, state diagrams, sequence diagrams and timing diagrams.
• Lead new technology discussions and adopt them into system architecture.
• Be the focal point for change requirements and assess impact on vehicle architecture and performance.
• Drive in-depth technical discussions on the system architecture of electric powertrain.
• Create system degradation strategies applicable to EV domain.
• Thorough knowledge of automotive communication networks CAN, LIN, Ethernet.
• Hands-on experience with ALM Polarion, CANoe, Canalyzer, CANdb++ editor, MATLAB/Simulink and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Expertise in Architecting and designing system functions for Electric Vehicle Powertrains:
• 1) Identify, Analyse and synthesize all the stakeholder’s needs, Vehicle Requirements (VRS), Service requirements, Homologation requirements, Customer, System Design requirements (SDS)
• 2) Designs the system architecture of various vehicle level functions, entry and exit criteria at system level interfacing to Software and Hardware
• 3) Drive System Architecture design discussions with EV Module teams including embedded software and hardware teams
• 4) Able to create Block Diagram, Flow charts, State Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams and timing diagrams for a function
• 5) Lead any new technology/ new function discussion and adopt the same into system architecture
• 6) Be the focal point for any change requirements and assess the impact on the vehicle architecture/design/performance/etc
• 7) Drive in-depth technical discussions on the areas of system architecture of electric powertrain
• 8) Able to create System degradation strategies applicable to EV domain
• 9) Thorough Knowledge on Automotive Communication Networks CAN, LIN, Ethernet
• 10) Hands on experience on ALM Polarian, CANOE, Canalyzer, CAN db++ editor, Matlab/ Simulink and Diagnostic tools
• 11) Ability to Debug ongoing field concerns and provide relevant solution on the Requirement and Architecture level
