Job summary

SM Renergy is seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator in Visakhapatnam to plan, coordinate, and manage the transportation of solar panels, inverters, and related equipment to project sites. You will liaise with transporters, vendors, warehouses, and project teams to ensure timely, cost-efficient deliveries and accurate dispatch documentation.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in logistics or dispatch, a background in solar or renewable energy projects, strong negotiation and Excel/ERP skills,

Qualifications

• Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or dispatch operations.
• Experience in Solar, EPC, Renewable Energy, Electrical Equipment, Construction, or heavy material transport preferred.
• Strong knowledge of freight management, GST documentation, e-way bills, and inventory tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage transportation of solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and other project materials to project sites.
• Liaise with transporters, vendors, suppliers, warehouses, and project execution teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Monitor material dispatches, vehicle movement, delivery schedules, and shipment tracking.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials as per project timelines.
• Prepare and verify transportation documents including e-way bills, invoices, delivery challans, and dispatch records.
• Resolve transit delays, delivery issues, damaged goods claims, and logistics-related challenges.
• Coordinate loading, unloading, packaging, and safe handling of solar and electrical equipment.
• Negotiate freight rates and transportation contracts to optimize logistics costs.
• Maintain inventory movement records, proof of deliveries (PODs), and transportation MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, GST requirements, and company policies.
• Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and project teams for material planning and availability.
• Analyze logistics performance, prepare reports, and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3 to 7 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or dispatch operations.
• Prior experience in Solar, EPC, Renewable Energy, Electrical Equipment, Construction, or Heavy Material Transportation is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of freight management, transportation planning, GST documentation, e-way bills, and inventory tracking systems.
• Experience in coordinating with transport vendors, freight partners, and project teams.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and material movement processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects, schedules, and logistics requirements simultaneously.
• Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics management tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive deliveries and operational challenges.
