Job summary

Allyn International Services seeks a Logistics Specialist Senior to lead import logistics in Mumbai on-site. You will oversee end-to-end import/export operations, coordinate with brokers and forwarders, and optimize routes to balance cost and service levels.

The role requires strong regulatory knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Transportation Management. You will communicate complex shipment details, support clients, train teammates, and ensure compliance across bonded and SEZ

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export operations in India - including duty-paid, temporary, bonded, free zone and SEZ shipments.
• Manage customs clearance and compliance.
• Manage warehouse BOE, bonded warehousing, de-bonding and SEZ clearances.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, warehouses, transporters and clients for timely shipment execution.
• Plan cargo routing and transportation based on cost, transit time, cargo requirements and service levels.
• Select carriers and manage contract and spot rates in line with established processes.
• Prepare and verify import, export, customs and shipping documentation.
• Ensure timely delivery and minimum detention and demurrage.

Allyn International is actively looking for a Logistics Specialist Senior for Mumbai (On-Site) location.

This Logistics Specialist Senior will be responsible for managing import logistics activities in a manner that shall meet business fulfillment requirements in parallel with the goal of transportation cost reduction. The position is responsible for collecting and communicating all necessary information related to upcoming and ongoing shipments, projects and services as well as providing logistics support, consulting, finding optimal mode and way of transportation and obtaining best possible transportation rates.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import and export operations in India - including duty-paid, temporary, bonded, free zone and SEZ shipments
• Manage customs clearance and compliance
• Manage warehouse BOE, bonded warehousing, de-bonding and SEZ clearances
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, warehouses, transporters and clients for timely shipment execution

• Proactive approach to issue resolution and shipment responsibility
• Research and subject matter expertise in the field of logistics and transportation
• Actively use Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) and other required systems
• Track shipment costs, claims and savings opportunities
• Ensure compliance for hazardous, over-dimensional, temporary, bonded, free zone, and SEZ cargo, as applicable
• Coordinate route and port surveys with external logistics service providers, where required
• Provide logistics and transportation expertise to optimize shipment execution
• Participate in team meetings, conference calls and project management calls with team and client
• Provide high-level customer service to customers
• Train newcomers, internal team members or external customers / suppliers if needed
• Any additional tasks related to Scope of Work agreed with the client

Requirements & Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
