Job summary

ZF India Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru is seeking a Logistics Lead to design and operate end‑to‑end logistics for the ecommerce marketplace. You will own relationships with logistics partners, negotiate contracts, and drive cost and delivery optimizations across multiple cities.

The role requires deep expertise in last‑mile economics, hub‑and‑spoke networks, and reverse logistics, with a track record of scaling operations for rapid growth in India.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in logistics, supply chain, or fulfilment operations with significant exposure to E‑commerce or quick commerce fulfilment.
• Strong vendor management experience with 3PL and courier partners.
• Deep understanding of last‑mile delivery economics and dynamics in metro/Tier‑1 cities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build end-to-end logistics and fulfilment network for the marketplace, including dark store locations, hub‑and‑spoke models, and last‑mile delivery.
• Own relationships with logistics and 3PL partners, courier aggregators, and hyperlocal networks.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with logistics partners; manage vendor performance.
• Optimize delivery economics and turnaround times.
• Define and continuously improve delivery SLAs by product category and geography.
• Monitor logistics KPIs: on‑time delivery, damage rates, cost per shipment, fill rate.
• Collaborate with Ops Tech lead to integrate logistics workflows into the platform.
• Develop reverse logistics and returns management processes.
• Plan and build operations team as the business scales to new cities and clusters.

Your profile as Logistics Lead:

• 7-12 years in logistics, supply chain, or fulfillment operations with significant exposure to E-commerce or quick commerce fulfilment
• Good in Logistics Management, Last-Mile Delivery, Quick Commerce Logistics, Transportation Management, Distribution Network Design, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Logistics Analytics, Vendor Management, Route Optimization, Cost Optimization, Reverse Logistics, Inventory Flow Management
• Demonstrated experience designing and operating dark stores, micro-fulfilment centres or regional distribution hubs in India
• Deep understanding of last-mile delivery economics and dynamics- cost structures, rider/ fleet management, and routing optimization in Metro/ Tier-1 cities, automotive hubs
• Strong analytical mindset with comfort in using logistics/ warehouse management systems, dashboards, route optimization metric and cost modelling
• Strong vendor management experience- experience negotiating with and managing 3PL and courier partners
