Job summary

Hardten Precision Technologies in Surat, Gujarat seeks an experienced Logistics Executive to manage end-to-end import and export operations for diamond tooling products. You will coordinate with customs agents, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods.

The role requires handling EXIM documentation, DGFT schemes, LUT/shipping bills, and duties. Proactive communication, accuracy in HSN classification, and ERP proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, International Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on experience in import/export logistics, preferably in manufacturing, tooling, or industrial products sector.
  • Strong working knowledge of customs procedures, EXIM documentation, and DGFT portal.
  • Solid understanding of HSN classification and GST compliance for international trade.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complete documentation for imports and exports including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading/airway bills, certificates of origin, and other shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with CHA (Customs House Agents) for customs clearance of import and export shipments.
  • Handle EXIM compliance including IEC, DGFT schemes, GST-related export documentation (LUT, shipping bills), and duty drawback/RoDTEP claims where applicable.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and courier companies (DHL, FedEx, etc.) to negotiate rates and book shipments.
  • Track shipments and proactively communicate status updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Ensure HSN code classification accuracy for diamond tools and related raw materials.
  • Maintain records related to advance authorization, EPCG, or other import duty benefit schemes if applicable.
  • Coordinate with the accounts/finance team for import duty payments, LC (Letter of Credit) documentation, and bank realization certificates (BRC).
  • Manage inventory reconciliation related to imported raw materials and exported finished goods.
  • Resolve discrepancies in shipments, customs queries, or documentation issues promptly.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of import/export regulations, customs tariffs, and trade policy changes affecting the tooling/manufacturing industry.
  • Prepare MIS reports on shipment status, costs, and turnaround times Drive improvements in logistics processes and vendor management.

Position: Logistics Executive

About the Role

Hardten is looking for an experienced Logistics Executive to manage end-to-end import and export operations for diamond tooling products.The role requires close coordination with customs agents, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal production/sales teams to ensure timely and compliant movement of goods, along with the ability to independently handle escalations and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to independently manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and vendor negotiations
Preferred (Good to Have)
  • Experience specifically with diamond tools, cutting tools, or precision engineering products
  • Knowledge of international shipping incoterms (FOB, CIF, DDP, etc.)
  • Prior exposure to handling shipments involving precious/industrial diamonds (additional regulatory considerations)
