Qualifications

Job Summary:

To lead and transform end-to-end Supply Chain Management (SCM) for the Beauty & Personal Care business, ensuring cost-efficient, agile, and scalable Supply Chain Solutions across sourcing, procurement, warehousing, logistics operations, inventory control, and distribution. The role will drive operational excellence, service levels, and profitability through strategic planning, technology adoption, and strong stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. End-to-End Supply Chain Leadership:

• Head overall Supply Chain Management, covering Inbound Logistics (International/Domestic), Outbound Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Inventory Management, Procurement Management, and Logistics Operations.
• Act as a senior Supply Chain Professional, responsible for building resilient, responsive, and cost-optimized supply chain networks aligned with business growth.
• Lead multi-location, multi-channel supply chains including manufacturing plants, after sales service centers, CFAs, DCs, fulfillment centers, exports, e-commerce, and modern trade.

2. Logistics Planning:

Logistics Planning is the strategic and tactical design of logistics activities to meet business demand.

It includes:

• Designing transportation networks for primary, secondary, and last mile distribution.
• Route planning and vehicle mapping to optimize distance, time, fuel usage, and delivery frequency.
• Capacity planning for vehicles, warehouses, and manpower based on demand forecasts.
• Mode selection (road, rail, air, coastal) to balance cost and service levels.
• Planning inbound logistics from vendors and manufacturing units and outbound logistics to distributors, e-commerce hubs, and modern trade.
• Defining logistics KPIs such as OTIF, OTD, vehicle utilization, turnaround time, and cost per unit.
• Contingency and risk planning for disruptions, seasonality, promotions, and new product launches.

3. Logistics Management:

Logistics Management is the execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the logistics plan.

It includes:

• Managing day-to-day logistics operations across inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics.
• Managing transporters and 3PL partners, including onboarding, SLA management, performance reviews, and cost negotiations.
• Ensuring on-time pickups, deliveries, and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Monitoring freight costs, fuel impact, detention, damages, shortages, and claims.
• Coordinating with warehouses, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth dispatch and replenishment.
• Using TMS, ERP, dashboards, and MIS to track shipment visibility and logistics performance.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce logistics OPEX while improving service levels.

4. Logistics & Distribution Management:

• Own Logistics Planning and Logistics Management across primary, secondary, and last-mile distribution.
• Manage Transporters, 3PL partners, and freight vendors through robust SLAs, KPIs, and performance reviews.
• Drive Route Planning, vehicle optimization, network rationalization, and cost efficiency across national distribution.
• Oversee primary and secondary transportation, reverse logistics, and service-level adherence.

5. Warehouse & Inventory Excellence:

• Lead Warehouse Operations including capacity planning, layout optimization, automation, WMS deployment, and productivity improvement.
• Ensure effective Inventory Control and Inventory Management, including FIFO / FEFO, shrinkage control, cycle counting, and slow-moving inventory reduction.
• Optimize inventory turns, service levels, and working capital across SKUs in Beauty & Personal Care portfolios.

6. Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:

• Drive Strategic Sourcing initiatives for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, services, and logistics.
• Lead Vendor Management, supplier development, contract negotiations, and long-term partnerships.
• Head Procurement Management covering both direct and indirect spends with strong governance and compliance.
• Manage sourcing of 3PL, transporters, warehouse service providers, and ancillary services.

7. Financial Management (Capex & Opex):

• Own annual and long-term Capex Planning for warehouses, automation, material handling equipment, IT systems, and network expansion.
• Lead OPEX Analysis across logistics, warehousing, manpower, and transportation costs.
• Drive cost optimization, total cost of ownership (TCO), budget adherence, and margin improvement initiatives.

8. Operations, Governance & Compliance:

• Ensure seamless Material Management from suppliers to manufacturing and finished goods delivery.
• Establish SOPs, KPIs, dashboards, and governance mechanisms for SCM excellence.
• Ensure statutory, regulatory, quality, safety, and compliance adherence relevant to Beauty & Personal Care (including hygiene, safety, and audit requirements).
• Lead risk management, contingency planning, and business continuity for supply chain operations.

9. Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop large cross-functional SCM, logistics, warehouse, and procurement teams.
• Act as a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Finance, and R&D.
• Represent SCM at leadership forums and contribute to long-term business strategy.
