Job summary

Bajaj Electricals seeks a senior litigation professional with extensive experience in arbitration and cheque-bounce matters. The role involves handling disputes, drafting pleadings, and coordinating with external counsels.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, IP infringement actions, high-value litigations, and oversight of consumer case settlements and recovery efforts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of litigation experience.
• Handled arbitration and cheque-bounce matters (138 cases).
• Built relationships with police and government offices.

Responsibilities

• Assess dispute threats and plan appropriate tactics and strategies.
• Conduct legal research on acts and statutes.
• In-house drafting of petitions, plaints, written statements, etc., with external counsels' consultation.
• Plan and strategize legal actions by briefing advocates and senior counsels.
• Handle IPR infringement and passing-off actions in depth.
• Experience with arbitration, NCLT matters and high-value litigations.
• Develop strategies to reduce operating expenses (OPEX).
• Evaluate demands from authorities and challenge when needed.
• Deal with courts, tribunals, and quasi-judicial bodies.
• Monitor settlements of consumer cases and respond to legal notices when required.
• Oversee recovery initiatives through mediation.
• Prepare, maintain, and report MIS on litigations.

• Stakeholder network: Build relationship & contacts with police, and government offices.

Litigation Responsibilities

• Assessing dispute threats and opportunities; planning appropriate tactics, and strategies.
• Legal Research on various Acts and statues.
• In house drafting of legal documents and pleadings like petitions, plaints, written statements etc. in consultation with external counsels & by providing all relevant documents / facts etc to our counsel
• Planning & Strategizing Legal actions by briefing advocates, Senior Counsels.
• In depth knowledge handling IPR Infringement and passing off actions
• Good exposure in dealing with Arbitration matters/ NCLT matter and high-stake value litigations.
• Developing unique strategies to reduce OPEX.
• Evaluating various demands raised by the Authorities & challenging if reqd..
• Dealing with various courts and Tribunals and Quasi Judicial bodies.
• To Monitor the settlement of Consumer cases and to ensure customer satisfaction by giving proper reply of the legal notices in case the same is required.
