Job summary

OSI Digital in Hyderabad is seeking a Linux System Administrator with 5–7 years of hands-on Linux experience. You will handle on-prem and cloud servers, perform patching, vulnerability mitigation, and participate in 24x7 rotations for critical projects.

The role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, plus familiarity with RHEL/OEL 8/9, HP/Dell hardware, and server management tools such as Red Hat Satellite. OpenStack, OpenShift, or VMware experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of hands-on Linux OS administration experience.
• Experience with installing, configuring Linux OS versions (RHEL/OEL 8/9).
• Previous Linux Administrator experience of at least 4 years.
• Knowledge of HP and Dell hardware (x86_64) and RAID concepts.
• Scripting in shell and Python is advantageous.
• Linux certifications are preferable.

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux OS issues (RHEL/OEL 8/9).
• Manage HP and Dell servers, including patches and security upgrades.
• Work 24X7 shifts on a rotational basis for dedicated projects.
• Linux server management for on-premises and cloud servers.
• Administration of Linux OS (RHEL/OEL 6/7/8).
• Vulnerability assessment and mitigation for Linux systems.
• Manage patching through Red Hat Satellite.
• Knowledge of OpenStack, OpenShift, VMware is a plus.

Job Title: Linux System Administrator

Experience: 5-7 Years

Location: Hyderabad, INDIA.

OSIDigitalislookingfor a Linux System Administrator who must have 5 to 7 years of hands‑on experience in Linux System administration. On successful onboarding, the individual will advance to the level of Associate Systems Lead and Systems Lead as well as receive technology training covering numerous cloud technologies (AWS, OCI and AZURE) and automation tools (Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux Operating System (RHEL/OEL Versions 8 and 9)-related issues, including LVM, User administration, addressing performance‑related issues, Clustering, and High Availability Management.
• Manage HP and Dell servers, including their OS, patches, security upgrades, and general upkeep.
• Able to work 24X7 shifts on a rotational basis for dedicated projects.
• Linux server management for both on‑premises and cloud‑based servers for multiple projects.
• Administration of Linux OS (RHEL/OEL Versions 6,7 and 8)
• Strong Knowledge installing, configuring, troubleshooting and Administration of all flavors of Linux.
• Linux Vulnerability assessment and Mitigation
• Good knowledge on HP & Dell Servers, BIOS and firmware upgrades.
• Manage red hat servers patching through Redhat Satellite.
• Good to have skills OpenStack, OpenShift, VMware

RequiredSkills

• Having 5 to 7 years of hands‑on experience in Linux OS Administration.
• Hands on experience in installation, configuration, and resolve issues with various Linux OS versions (RHEL/OEL Versions 8 and 9),
• Previous working experience as a Linux Administrator for at least 4 years.
• Knowledge of HPE and Dell hardware (x86_64) and RAID concept
• It is advantageous to have some working knowledge of SAN technologies and scripting languages like shell and python.
• Excellent communication, team coordination, interpersonal skills and customer care skills are mandatory
• Demonstrated ability to use problem solving techniques such as root cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Candidates with any flavor of Linux certification would be preferable.
