Job summary

UST is seeking a Linux Kernel Engineer in Bengaluru to work across multiple kernel versions, port/open-source features, and regression fixes. You will validate stability with LTP/Kselftest and debug kernel bugs, collaborating with hardware teams to ensure performance and reliability.

The role requires strong C programming, device driver and kernel module experience, plus Git and OS knowledge. You will support CI/CD processes and work in a team to deliver robust kernel solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Linux kernel development, including writing device drivers and kernel modules.
• Strong understanding of operating system concepts and computer architecture.
• Proficiency in C programming language; familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of debugging tools and techniques for kernel development.
