Job summary

Sasken Technologies in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Android Linux Kernel Driver Development engineer with a focus on kernel-level device drivers and Android integration. You will handle kernel driver development (I2C, SPI), porting between kernel versions, debugging on Linux/Android, and Android HAL interactions, contributing to system software and platform stability.

You will collaborate with embedded teams to optimize driver performance, handle stability issues, and support Android OS

Qualifications

• Experience in Kernel device driver development including serial peripheral drivers like I2C, SPI.
• Migration to new kernel versions and porting.
• Excellent debugging skills on Linux/Android environment.
• Android OS upgrades involving init scripts and device configuration.
• Hands on experience in Android HAL, device driver porting and Android system software.
• Experience in Kernel/HAL changes.
• Good experience on Android Frameworks and can scale up.
• Hands on experience in analysing Stability issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain kernel driver code for Android platforms.
• Port drivers and verify compatibility across kernel versions.
• Debug and optimize Linux/Android driver behavior and performance.
• Assist with Android HAL integration and system software tasks.
