Job summary

Sasken Technologies in Bangalore is seeking an experienced Android Linux Kernel Driver Development engineer to join our firmware team. You will work on kernel device drivers, Android HAL and porting tasks across kernel versions.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of hands-on experience with C/C++, I2C/SPI, Linux/Android debugging, and a strong background in Android OS upgrades and device configuration.

This role is based in Bengaluru (WFO -5 days).

Qualifications

• C and C++ programming in embedded Linux environments.
• Experience in kernel device driver development including I2C, SPI and other SPIs.
• Migration/porting of kernel versions and related debugging experience.
• Strong debugging skills in Linux/Android environments and ability to explore new tools.
• Android OS upgrades involving init scripts and kernel device configuration.
• Experience with Android HAL, device driver porting and Android system software.
• Experience in Kernel/HAL changes and Android Frameworks.
• Proven ability to analyze stability issues in Android-based systems.
• OS: Android.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Android/Linux kernel drivers and related subsystems.
• Port and migrate kernel modules to newer kernel versions.
• Debug and analyze Linux/Android kernel issues and performance problems.
• Collaborate on Android HAL interfaces and framework integration.
• Assist in OS upgrades and device-specific configuration tasks.
