Job summary

Tekskills seeks a skilled Linux kernel and driver engineer in Bengaluru to join our hardware-software integration team. You will work on kernel configuration, build, boot/loaders, and driver development across NAND, MMC, SCSI, UFS, and filesystems like EXT4 and F2FS, with ARM/Android platforms.

Candidates should have BE/BTech or ME/MTech in CS or Electronics and 2–4 years of hands-on Linux kernel experience, strong C skills, and scripting abilities in Python/Perl.

Job description

Preferred Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech Computer Science/ Electronics

Preferred Experience: 2 to 4 years

Preferred Skill sets:
  1. Experience on Linux Kernel Configuration, Kernel Building and Debug (trace logs, kernel crash logs)
  2. Experience on Linux Block device driver development
  3. Experience on Linux BSP (Board support packages) and porting
  4. Experience on Linux File systems like EXT4, F2FS
  5. Experience on Linux boot loaders
  • Uboot, Fastboot
  • Experience on Linux Block Layer
  • Experience on various Board Bring up(Ex: ARM platform) with Android and Linux
  • Knowledge of OS concepts
  • Experience on GNU tool chain/ make system
  • Strong C programming and debugging skills
  • Script development using python, perl, powershell.
  • Understanding of Linux kernel source code
Additional Skills:
  1. Knowledge of Flash translation layer and its role
  2. Experience on Linux NAND and MMC device drivers
  3. Experience on Linux SCSI Device Drivers
  4. Experience on Linux UFS device driver
  5. Experience in NAND firmware development
  6. Android Application development
  7. Experience in testing of Linux device drivers and automation of test cases, code coverage and unit test framework
  8. Experience of Linux patch submission to Linux Open Source.
