Job summary

Rialtes Technologies is seeking an experienced Linux Engineer to join the team in Bangalore. The role focuses on Linux server administration, infra support, and enhancing the EDA environment to ensure smooth operations.

You will work on migrations, monitoring upgrades, and automation while collaborating with R&D and corporate IT. This is an on-site position with daytime shifts aligned to IST.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux engineering/administration experience.
• Strong Linux server administration and infra support.
• Experience with VMware, Zabbix, GitLab, storage, networking, and automation.
• Experience supporting EDA environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Switzerland R&D shutdown-related activities, including transfer of Linux VMs and files.
• Migrate Mentor environment from 2 sites and set up in Switzerland with EDA team.
• Migrate Zabbix monitoring to Switzerland and enhance monitoring capabilities.
• Drive automation and improvements of Linux and EDA environments.
• Support local IT with day-to-day Linux issues and user setups.
• Set up Linux accounts for new hires and maintain virtual servers (VMware).
• Maintain bare-metal Linux servers for simulations and manage Linux software.
• Maintain Linux-related storage, networking, and the local license server.
• Install security measures per Corporate IT requests (DLP software).
• Maintain the EDA environment to ensure smooth operation for the team.
• Set up and maintain the GitLab server.

Position - Linux Engineer

Work Location: Bangalore
Work Timings: 1 PM to 10 PM (IST)
Mode: Work from Office

We are seeking an experienced Linux Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Switzerland R&D shutdown-related activities, including the transfer of Linux VMs, files, etc.
• Transfer the Mentor environment from 2 sites and get it up and running in Switzerland in collaboration with the EDA team.
• Transfer Zabbix-based monitoring to Switzerland and enhance monitoring capabilities to help prevent IT system bottlenecks.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of the Linux and EDA environment.
• Support local IT with the following services:
• Support users with day-to-day Linux issues.
• Set up Linux accounts for new hires.
• Set up and maintain virtual servers (VMware).
• Maintain bare-metal Linux servers for computers (i.e., simulations).
• Install and manage Linux software.
• Maintain Linux-related storage and network.
• Maintain the local license server.
• Implement security measures requested by Corporate IT, such as installation of data loss prevention software.
• Maintain the EDA environment so that the EDA team can operate smoothly.
• Set up and maintain the GitLab server.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Linux Engineering / Administration.
• Strong experience in Linux server administration and infrastructure support.
• Experience with VMware, Zabbix, GitLab, storage, networking, and automation.
• Experience supporting EDA environments is preferred.
