We are looking for a skilled and motivated Linux Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team in Mysuru. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Linux system administration, server management, troubleshooting, security, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Linux servers.
• Manage Linux operating systems such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Rocky Linux.
• Monitor server performance, availability, and system health.
• Troubleshoot Linux OS, hardware, network, and application-related issues.
• Perform regular patching, upgrades, and security updates.
• Manage users, groups, permissions, and access controls.
• Configure and troubleshoot services such as SSH, DNS, NTP, Apache/Nginx, FTP, and Samba.
• Manage disk partitions, LVM, file systems, and storage.
• Handle system backups and restoration activities.
• Perform log monitoring and analyze system issues.
• Work with networking teams to troubleshoot connectivity and firewall-related issues.
• Develop and maintain Shell scripts for task automation.
• Support vulnerability remediation and Linux server hardening.
• Maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in incident management and provide support for critical production issues.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Linux System Administration.
• Experience with RHEL/CentOS/Rocky Linux/Ubuntu.
• Good knowledge of Shell Scripting (Bash).
• Experience in LVM, RAID, file systems, user management, and permissions.
• Knowledge of Linux networking, TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, and firewall configuration.
• Experience with patch management and server hardening.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Ansible or other automation tools.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of VMware/Virtualization.
• Experience with security and vulnerability management tools.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• RHCSA/RHCE certification will be an added advantage.
