Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Cloud Azure Engineer to join our Managed Services team responsible for supporting multiple customer environments on Microsoft Azure. The role involves proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and operational management of Azure workloads to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in Azure infrastructure support and troubleshooting, with a solid understanding of ITIL processes and 24x7 operational models.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 operational support for Azure infrastructure across multiple customer environments.
• Monitor Azure services and alerts using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and other monitoring tools.
• Troubleshoot incidents related to Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Azure AD.
• Perform routine health checks, patching, backup validation, and performance tuning.
• Manage and support Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), and Disaster Recovery setups.
• Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory / Entra ID, DNS, and group policy‑related issues.
• Handle service requests, incidents, and changes as per ITIL framework and SLA commitments.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date documentation (SOPs, KB articles, runbooks).
• Work closely with customers and internal escalation teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives using PowerShell or Azure Automation.
• Participate in 24x7 support rotation and on‑call duties for critical incident handling.

Technical Skills Required

• Good understanding of Windows Server OS (2016/2019/2022) administration and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, File and Storage Services.
• Exposure to Azure Automation, Update Management, and Policy for compliance and efficiency.
• Basic knowledge of Azure PaaS services (App Services, SQL platform‑level support).
• Scripting knowledge in PowerShell for automation and operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Log Analytics, SCOM, or third‑party solutions.
• Understanding of backup, DR, and patching strategies in cloud environments.
