Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru, India, seeks an experienced Linux/AIX administrator to install, configure, and maintain Linux and AIX systems. You will handle incidents per SLA, monitor performance, and automate tasks with Shell, Python, and Ansible.

From patching to migrations and AIX TL upgrades, this role requires strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of NIM/LPARs/VIOS/HMC. Excellent collaboration with IT teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience installing and configuring Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) and AIX systems.
• Handle incident management and service requests per SLA.
• Troubleshoot OS, filesystem, networking, and user access.
• Knowledge of Kerberos is a plus.
• Monitor performance, availability, and capacity with tooling.
• Apply patches, upgrades and security fixes.
• Hands-on with AIX LPARs, VIOS, HMC.
• Automation using Shell/Python scripting and Ansible.

Job description

Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux (RHEL 7, 8, 9) and AIX systems

Handle incident management & service requests as per SLA

Troubleshoot issues related to OS, filesystem, networking, and user access good to have SSSD / Kerberos knowledge

Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity using monitoring tools

Apply patches, upgrades, and security fixes

Manage file systems, LVM, and disk provisioning

Aix TL upgrades Migrations and apply efixes

Hands on NIM server experience

Aix Lpars, VIOS, HMC Knowledge
