Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking an experienced AIX Administrator to join our Infrastructure Services team in Pune. You will manage IBM AIX servers in production, ensuring reliability, performance, and 24x7 support.

Required 3–7 years of hands-on AIX experience, strong virtualization skills, and proficiency with VIOS, LPAR, DLPAR, HMC, LVM, and HACMP/PowerHA clusters. You will handle incidents, changes, and capacity planning while upholding SLA commitments.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in IBM AIX administration.
• Strong expertise in virtualization technologies, clustering, performance tuning.
• Production support experience.
• Experience with SLA compliance and 24x7 support.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM AIX servers in production environments.
• Configure and manage VIOS, LPAR, DLPAR, and HMC.
• Perform LVM administration, storage management, and capacity planning.
• Manage HACMP/PowerHA clusters and high-availability environments.
• Monitor server performance with vmstat, iostat, sar, topas, netstat, and nmon.
• Perform AIX patching, APAR, TL/ML upgrades, and fix installations.
• Handle incidents, service requests, and change management activities.
• Ensure SLA compliance and provide 24x7 production support.
