Job summary

Asv Consulting Services Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to manage Linux servers in physical and virtual environments from its Bangalore/Hyderabad offices.

You will handle installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting while supporting VMware/XEN virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and Azure components for resilient infrastructure. Strong client-facing skills are essential.

• Hands-on with at least two cloud platforms: AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience in production support, incident management, RCA, and SLA handling.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to act as SPOC and handle client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux servers in physical and virtual environments.
• Perform installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
• Manage virtualization environments (VMware/XEN).
• Handle performance issues, incident management, RCA, and SLA compliance.
• Manage LVM, DNS, LDAP, IPTables, package management, and repositories.
• Work with cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Manage Azure components (Azure AD, VNets, NSGs, VPN, ExpressRoute, Site Recovery).
• Support NetApp storage and NFS environments.
• Monitor, patch, upgrade, and provide production support.
• Collaborate with infra and app teams to resolve issues.
• Communicate with clients and document knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux servers in physical and virtual environments.
• Perform installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Linux systems.
• Manage VMware/XEN virtualization environments.
• Handle server performance issues, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and SLA compliance.
• Manage LVM, DNS, LDAP, IPTables, package management, and repository configuration.
• Work on cloud infrastructure, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP.
• Manage Azure components such as Azure AD, VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure Backup, and Site Recovery.
• Support NetApp storage and NFS environments.
• Perform monitoring, patching, system upgrades, and production support activities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to resolve technical issues.
• Handle client communication, knowledge transfer, and technical documentation.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Linux Administration.
• Experience with VMware/XEN virtualization.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with at least two cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Additional / Good-to-Have Skills

• Pacemaker Cluster experience, particularly for L3 positions.
• Azure AD, networking, VPN, ExpressRoute, and Azure Site Recovery.

• ITIL processes and production support.
• Chef, Nagios, RPM, Rsync, and monitoring tools.
• Package and repository management.

Candidate Requirements

• Candidates should be comfortable working from the office in Bangalore or Hyderabad.
• Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts, is required.
• Candidates serving a notice period of 15–30 days are preferred.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and client-handling capabilities are essential.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
