Job summary

Hirepage Solutions Hyderabad is seeking a seasoned Linux server administrator to join their cloud operations team in Hyderabad. The role covers 3rd level support, ITIL-aligned incident management, and hands-on administration of Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and storage.

The candidate will work with Azure, AWS or GCP, configure VNet/subnets, manage AD and network security groups, perform root-cause analysis and document knowledge for 2nd/3rd level teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of server management administration (Linux)
• Hands-on experience as SPOC with technical and customer-facing responsibilities
• Experience handling client interactions and server installation/maintenance
• Experience with Linux OS operations and virtualization (VMware/Xen)
• Proficient in LVM, DNS, LDAP, IPTables, and troubleshooting server issues
• Hands-on with at least two cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
• Experience with Pacemaker cluster for L3 resources
• Knowledge of central infrastructure services (e.g., AD, Nagios, Yum/RPM, repo management) and automation

Responsibilities

• Deliver 3rd level technical support in line with customer SLAs
• Conduct daily compute operations, incident handling, and ITIL-aligned processes
• Perform server installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommissioning and special configurations
• Manage storage operations, including NetApp/NFS where applicable
• Administer Azure Active Directory and create/manage VNets, subnets and NSGs
• Configure VPNs and ExpressRoute; implement Azure Backup and Site Recovery
• Carry out root cause analysis and document services/solutions for knowledge transfer

Job description

• Overall, 3 14 years’ Experience in Server Management Administration (Linux).
• Hand on experience handling responsibilities as SPOC. They should have both Technical and Customer facing experience.
• Should have client handling experience
• Experience in Server (physical/VM) installation, maintenance & decommissioning.
• Profound Linux OS operations experience.
• Knowledge in hypervisor operations (XEN and VMware).
• To have good knowledge in LVM, DNS, LDAP and IPTables.
• To have good troubleshooting skills in server down situation.
• Knowledge in physical server management.
• Hands-on experience with at least two cloud platforms, such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Amazon Web Services (AWS), is mandatory.
• Hands-on experience with Pacemaker cluster is mandatory for L3 resources.
• Any knowledge for central infrastructure services is recommended and highly beneficial (Security
• Groups/RPM/Rsync/Mail/Active Directory/Chef automation/Nagios/repository management/Monitoring)
• Able to provide knowledge transfer from certain technology areas towards 2nd level technical support.

• Create and manage Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and network security groups
• Implement VPNs and ExpressRoute connections.
• Configure Azure Backup and Site Recovery.
• Root Cause Analysis for customer incidents
• Service/Task documentation, testing, quality management and knowledge transfer.
