Job summary

Nexthire in Mumbai is seeking a seasoned Linux Administrator to oversee physical and virtual servers, install OS, monitor performance, tune kernels, manage LVM and filesystem security.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with shell scripting or Ansible, incident handling, HA Pacemaker clusters, shared storage and multipathing, OS upgrades, and ITIL awareness. Excellent troubleshooting and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant Linux administration experience.
• Experience in OS installation, performance monitoring, kernel tuning, LVM, filesystem and security management.
• Shell scripting or configuration management with Ansible.
• Handle critical incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Manage user service requests and alert management.
• Install and configure Pacemaker-based high availability clusters.
• Troubleshoot common cluster issues.
• Work with shared storage and multipathing.
• Repository creation and management.
• OS upgrade and patch management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills; ITIL awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Linux server infrastructure including physical and virtual environments.
• Monitor performance and respond to incidents promptly.

Experience

Mandatory Skills/Knowledge

1. Should have good experience in Linux Administration for both physical and virtual servers (OS Installation, Performance Monitoring/Optimization, Kernel Tuning, LVM management, File System Management, Security Management) .
2. Should have good experience in shell scripting or configuration management (Ansible).
3. Should be able to handle critical Incidents and able to perform root cause analysis.
4. Should have experience in handling User service request and alert management.
5. Should have experience of Install and Configure Pacemaker based high availability Cluster.
6. Should have experience of troubleshooting common cluster issues.
7. Should have worked with Shared Storage and Multipathing.
8. Should have experience in Repository Creation and Management.
9. Should have experience in OS upgrade and patch management.
10. Must have good troubleshooting skills.
11. ITIL Awareness

Preferred Skills/Knowledge

1. Experience on Automating tasks by using Shell Scripts, Ansible
