Job summary

Job description

Ensure uninterrupted, cost-efficient, and quality-compliant supply of limestone for clinker production aligned with plant requirements

Manage sourcing mix from limestone mines, linkage mines, and third-party suppliers in coordination with the Unit requirement.

Evaluate new mining blocks, auctions, and long-term resource security opportunities

Coordinate with mine operators for daily and monthly production planning in line with clinker targets

Lead commercial negotiations for Limestone Purchase Agreements (LPAs) and MDO contracts

Knowledge of Limestone Quality parameters, mining cost, Royalty, DMF, NMET, etc

Drive cost reduction initiatives across mining and transportation

Ensure adherence to contractual terms and statutory obligations

Oversee end-to-end logistics from mines to plant via road, rail, and conveyor systems

Optimize lead distance, freight cost, and turnaround time for limestone movement

Monitor dispatch versus plan and proactively resolve supply disruptions

Ensure Quality consistency & adherence in terms of CaCO3, MgO, Silica, etc as per specification

Monitor rejection levels, dilution, and variability in limestone supply

Track and manage payments related to royalty, DMF, NMET, and other levies

Collaborate with plant operations, mining, logistics, finance, and legal teams

Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and review packs for senior management

Qualification & Skills

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

10-12 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with a focus preferably on limestone sourcing.

Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

Solid understanding of procurement processes, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Proficiency in procurement software and systems, with experience using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems preferred.

Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards related to limestone procurement and other raw materials for Cement Industry.
