Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Limited is seeking a Manager - Lighting, Vehicle Engineering to lead lighting design and packaging for headlamps and taillamps. The role involves coordinating with development teams, suppliers and tool makers to ensure feasible, manufacturable solutions and to incorporate CAD-based surface engineering, DMU and CAE feedback.

Candidates should have a BE in Mechanical, 10–11 years of automotive lighting experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills for

Responsibilities

• Feasibility studies of lighting styling data from CAS-0 to Class-A (headlamp, taillamp).
• 3D CAD modelling of engineering surfaces and packaging with E&E, BIW & GSM parts.
• Collaborate with Development Team, Suppliers, and Tool makers for Mfg. feasibility studies.
• Incorporate DFM/DFS/ DFA, CAE, DMU feedback into engineering design.
• Benchmarking of competition vehicles for packaging, performance and assembly.

Job description

Manager - Lighting, Vehicle Engineering

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Experience in feasibility studies of styling data CAS-0 to Class-A for Lighting - Headlamp, Taillamp (tooling direction, draft analysis, Homologation checks, Surface quality etc.).

Master Section Development, 3D CAD modelling of Engineering surfaces and considering other vehicle parts packaging like E&E , BIW & GSM parts etc.

Interaction with Development Team / Suppliers / Tool makers for Mfg. Feasibility, packaging / tooling feasibility study.

Incorporation of Changes suggested in DFM/DFS/DFA, CAE, DMU feedback, Service & Mold flow simulation etc. into engineering design.

Benchmarking study for competition vehicles and systems for packaging, performance, assembly etc. at vehicle level and tear down level.

Preparation of SOR/Technical Requirement Document for Lighting parts Drive optical performance improvement through simulation, prototype testing and design optimization.

Work effectively in a team environment with a cross-functional team.

Experience BE with mechanical with 10~11 years of experience.
