Job summary

Aspiration in Mumbai seeks an accomplished Architect with 10-20 years of experience to lead architectural design for commercial and mixed-use projects. You will coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interiors, planning and management teams to ensure design intent is realized through execution.

You will liaise with BMC/MCGM and other authorities for approvals, monitor statutory compliance and provide guidance to junior architects to maintain high design standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant and robust architectural experience in real-estate or consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory approvals and statutory processes.
• Experience coordinating large design teams and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve architectural drawings, plans, specifications and design documentation.
• Liaise with statutory authorities and manage architectural approvals, permissions and NOCs.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, landscape, interiors, planning, project management and other consultants.
• Ensure compliance with DCPR 2034, NBC, UDCPR, local development regulations, municipal requirements and other applicable statutory provisions.
• Review consultant drawings and ensure design intent is maintained through execution.
• Conduct design reviews, identify discrepancies and provide timely technical solutions.
• Support tender documentation, BOQs, technical specifications and contractor/consultant evaluations.
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of architectural drawings, revisions and approvals.
• Provide technical guidance to junior architects and design team members.
• Act as the Registered/Licensed Architect for projects, wherever applicable.
• Prepare, sign and submit drawings/documents as required by the relevant statutory authorities.
• Coordinate with BMC/MCGM and other government authorities for approvals and permissions.
• Track approval status and resolve architectural/statutory queries in coordination with consultants and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• B.Arch. from a recognised institution.
• Valid registration with the Council of Architecture (COA).
• 10-20 years of relevant experience, preferably with a real-estate developer/architectural consultancy.
• Strong experience in commercial or mixed-use developments.
• Sound knowledge of DCPR 2034, BMC/MCGM processes, development permissions and statutory approvals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant architectural/design software.
