As a Lender Relationships Manager (Credit), you will own lender engagement and case progression once a
loan application has been logged in. While our operations team handles the login process, you will work
directly with lender relationship managers, partnership teams, and credit decision-makers to secure
sanctions and drive disbursals.
This is not a loan-processing role. It requires someone who can understand a lender's credit concerns, build
a credible case for reconsideration, negotiate justified deviations, and take ownership of moving
transactions forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sanctions and disbursals: Own post-login case progression across lenders, proactively follow up with relevant stakeholders, resolve bottlenecks, and keep cases moving towards closure.
- Lead credit discussions and reconsiderations: Review rejected or stalled applications, understand the underlying credit concerns, and present supporting information and risk mitigants to seek reconsideration - not simply resubmit the same file.
- Negotiate deviations and loan terms: Work with lender credit teams to secure justified policy deviations through the appropriate approvals. Negotiate competitive interest rates, suitable ticket sizes, and longer tenures based on the the borrower profile.
- Own lender relationships across levels: Build and manage relationships with lender relationship managers, partnership teams, regional and zonal teams, and credit heads. Identify and engage the right decision-makers to resolve case-specific issues.
- Apply lender-policy knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of each lender's eligibility criteria, credit policies, negative lists, and serviceable pincodes. Use this knowledge to assess lender fit and identify potential approval challenges.
- Coordinate internal resolution: Work closely with sales and operations teams to address lender queries, obtain supporting information, and resolve requirements that could delay sanction or disbursal.
- Maintain accurate case tracking: Keep every live case updated with its current status, pending requirements, next steps and expected timelines. Flag delays and risks proactively and communicate outcomes transparently.
Required Experience and Skills
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in business loans or unsecured business loans within an NBFC or fintech.
- Experience in credit management, lender or bank relations, or credit/backend leadership, with direct exposure to lender credit teams.
- Demonstrated experience in converting logged-in applications into sanctions and disbursals.
- A track record of securing reconsideration of rejected cases through substantive credit discussions and supporting evidence.
- Strong knowledge of lender policies, negative lists, pincode eligibility, credit assessment criteria, and deviation requirements.
- The ability to assess borrower profiles, explain credit strengths and risks, and present appropriate
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, follow-through, and case-tracking skills.
What We Look For
You take ownership beyond follow-ups. You know when to challenge a rejection, when to escape, and
when a case is unlikely to proceed. You are persistent in pursuing viable cases while respecting lender credit
requirements.
You also communicate honestly. When a case slips or a commitment is at risk, you flag it early, explain the
issue, and take responsibility for the next steps.
This is a fast-paced, execution-focused role where consistent effort is expected throughout the month - not
only at month-end. You should be comfortable managing multiple live cases, navigating lender escalations,
