Job description

We are currently hiring for a Senior Manager Legal role with a leading consumer-focused organization in Mumbai.

Role: Senior Manager Legal
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 8–12 Years
Function: Legal & Compliance

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle commercial and corporate legal matters and provide legal advisory to internal stakeholders.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, marketing agreements, distribution, manufacturing, supply, B2B, lease and technology agreements.
• Manage litigation and dispute matters, including consumer, recovery, Section 138, NCLT/insolvency and employment-related matters.
• Manage legal and regulatory compliance, including Legal Metrology and compliance monitoring.
• Handle IP matters, including trademarks, copyright and infringement-related issues.
• Support M&A, legal due diligence, fundraising and IPO-related activities.
• Handle corporate secretarial / ROC compliances and related documentation.
• Lead and mentor junior members of the legal team and work closely with senior management and business functions.

Ideal Candidate:

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in Corporate/Commercial Legal & Compliance.
• Strong experience in contract drafting & negotiation, litigation, compliance and corporate legal.
• Exposure to E-commerce, D2C, Retail, Consumer Electronics, FMCG, Technology or other consumer-facing businesses preferred.
• Experience in IP, Legal Metrology, M&A/Due Diligence and IPO-related matters would be an advantage.
• LL.B. qualification is required; CS qualification would be preferred.
